What we record when you follow a CSPURL.link short link or use this site, and what we do with it.
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Who we are
CSPURL.link is owned and operated by CSP Geeks LLC. The short links on it are created by customers of Mage URL, a link management application provided through the Press Mage service platform. You can reach us at clientsupport@pressmage.com.
What this policy covers
This policy covers following a short link on cspurl.link, reading the pages of this site, and sending a report through our abuse form. It does not cover the website a short link sends you to — that site has its own owner and its own policies. Mage URL customers' own accounts are covered by their agreement with Press Mage.
When you follow a short link
To send you to the right place and give the link's owner a count of how it is used, we record:
- the date and time, and which link was followed;
- a one-way, keyed code derived from your IP address. Your IP address is used to make this code and, where location lookup is enabled, to estimate an approximate location (country, region and city). The IP address itself is not stored with the record;
- your browser's user-agent text, and what it indicates: browser, operating system, device type, and whether the request appears to come from an automated program;
- the page you came from (the "referrer"), when your browser sends it;
- your browser's preferred languages;
- any
utm_campaign tags in the address you followed.
The code made from your IP address lets us estimate how many different visitors a link reached without knowing who they are. It cannot be turned back into your IP address.
Who can see it
The customer who created the link can see these click records for their own links in their Mage URL account — for example the time, browser, device type, referrer and approximate location of each click. They cannot see your IP address. CSP Geeks LLC staff can access the records to run, secure and support the service.
How long it is kept
Individual click records are deleted after 12 months. Totals that do not record individual visits — such as the number of clicks a link received on a given day — may be kept for as long as the customer's account is active.
Cookies, tracking and this site
CSPURL.link sets no cookies — not when you follow a short link, and not on these pages. This site uses no analytics, advertising or third-party scripts, fonts or widgets; everything on it is served from our own servers.
Server and security logs
Like most web services, the infrastructure that runs CSPURL.link keeps technical logs of requests — IP address, time, the address requested and the browser's user-agent text — to keep the service running, detect and stop abuse, and diagnose faults. These logs are kept for a limited period and are not shared with link owners.
When you report a link
If you use our abuse report form, we keep:
- the link you reported, the category you chose and what you told us;
- your email address, only if you gave one;
- a one-way code derived from your IP address, used to limit repeated submissions and to spot misuse of the form.
We use this to investigate the link. The report is passed to our support team through our help desk system or by email. We never share your details with the owner of the reported link and never publish them. We keep reports for as long as we need them to deal with the report and to keep a record of how this domain has been used.
Service providers
We use hosting and infrastructure providers to run the service, and an email delivery provider when a report is sent to our support team by email. They process information only on our behalf. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
We may disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect people from harm or to protect the service and its users from fraud and abuse.
Your choices and rights
Because click records do not contain your name or IP address, we usually cannot tell which records relate to you. You can still ask us what we hold, or ask us to correct or delete information about you — for example a report you sent — and, depending on where you live, you may have further rights under data protection law. Write to clientsupport@pressmage.com.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
